Dokuchaev asks “Is there life inside black holes?” in a recent research paper, speculating that “advanced civilizations may inhabit the interiors of supermassive black holes, being invisible from the outside and basking in the light of the central singularity and orbital photons.” This thought experiment reminds us of the hypothesis that we could be living inside a black hole, and what better place to hide from prying eyes and unwanted attention?
